Mexico missionary, Mexico mission team and Rio Grande Valley church focused, we serve in practical ways by providing lodging on a short-term basis. Melody Lane is here to serve you so your Mexico mission plans are fulfilled and Christ is glorified. Our goal is be “First Class” in the way we operate this Ministry.
If you are a missionary needing a place to stay when coming and going across the Mexico border with clean affordable housing for you and your family; you’ve found the place.
If you are a mission group/organization seeking a place where you can all stay in a safe and clean environment that also supplies cooking facilities as well as dining/meeting areas; you’ve found the place.
If you are a local church desiring to plan a retreat where you can have private areas for cooking and dining and private areas for your meeting; you’ve found the place.
If you are looking for a place to stay with your recreational vehicle as a Winter Texan or just traveling through the area; you’ve found the place.
Serving the needs of missionaries, mission organizations, and churches by providing short-term lodging, retreat facilities, and recreational vehicle sites since 1989, Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center was founded by Neal and Audrey Dorsch. Neal and Audrey are retired wheat farmers from Colorado and have devoted themselves to serving the Lord in this very unique way. They are still active and involved in the Ministry, and their daughter, Nancy King, now heads the Ministry.
- Our large clubhouse kitchen needs serious remodeling to become more of a commercial kitchen.
- The outside pavilion kitchen needs a patio covering over the deck to protect food service from the weather.
- We would like to build another dorm or two so that we can accommodate more than two or three groups at the same time.

Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center is now managed by Dave and Sharon Sachs who live on site in their 5th wheel trailer. They serve as full-time volunteer managers having committed to serve this Ministry and are now into their fourth year at Melody Lane. They have a very friendly and lovable golden retriever named Tucker who loves to greet everyone.
The Ministry began on Melody Lane in the City of Mission, TX, but has been relocated to a former recreational vehicle park (Texas Rose RV Park) in the community of Palmview, TX. At the new location there is room to grow as well as being private and secure; we can now accommodate somewhere around 160 persons depending on the male/female ratio.
