MAY has more than likely been the most significant month for this Ministry since it has relocated from Melody Lane in Mission to the former Texas Rose RV Park in Palmview! After a two year struggle with the Hidalgo County Tax Appraisal Board and their attorney, and, with the assistance of our very able attorney, Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center was finally granted a partial property tax exemption! This is and will be an incredible blessing for the future as it will be exempt in the amount of 75.4%! That means our responsibility will be 24.6% of any taxes levied on this property! You can read more about it at "Breaking News 5.19.10". Please rejoice with us at the way God has worked on behalf of this Ministry to enable it to go into the future knowing that it won't be heavy laden with a tax burden that would have been overwhelming and would have kept us always looking for any way that we could either increase income and/or reduce spending instead of keeping us focused on ministry.
We continue to prepare and maintain the facilities for all who come here always hoping to be ready in season and out. We never know who might call or email for a night's lodging or more and we have been blessed to very rarely have to turn anyone away. It has been a quiet month following Spring Break and before school lets out.
