Winter Texans
We welcome our Winter Texans, many of whom have been coming here for up to twenty years! The front of the property is reserved for recreational vehicles up to 40' in length with 30-50 AMP service. We have approximately 40 sites available for use.
The Winter Texans have the small clubhouse kitchen/meeting room reserved for the winter season beginning from the middle of November until the end of March. They have a pool table that is well used and spend a lot of time playing cards, bingo and working puzzles. They also do crafts one afternoon a week. Monday mornings start with a weekly business and planning meeting. Plans usually include a meal during the month and a Sunday birthday celebration. Those interested will also plan side trips to local tourist attractions and Progresso, Mexico as well as eating out. Reunions are a part of their plans either held here or at a restaurant.
Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center does not have any long-term housing available.
The Ministry is encouraging any Christians who travel with their recreational vehicle to consider staying with us if your desire is to be involved with the many opportunities there are to partner with mission teams that travel here to serve those in need both on the Texas border and on the Mexico border.
